Speed Presets Explained

Slow motion (0.25x–0.75x) stretches each frame in time, making fast action easier to follow. The output video will be longer than the original.

Speed up (1.5x–4x) compresses the video duration. A 10-minute video at 2x becomes 5 minutes. Great for time-lapses, tutorials, and long recordings you want to watch faster.

Custom speed lets you dial in any value between 0.25x and 4x in 0.05x increments using the slider. Useful when a preset doesn't match your exact needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my video uploaded to a server when changing speed?
No. Clipiv processes your video entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — no upload, no server, complete privacy.
What speed range is supported?
You can slow down your video to 0.25x (quarter speed) or speed it up to 4x (four times faster). Use the preset buttons for common speeds or the slider for fine-tuned control. If you only need to change the speed of a specific segment, trim the clip first for faster processing.
Does changing speed affect the audio track?
Yes. The audio pitch and duration are adjusted to match the new speed. At 2x speed, audio plays twice as fast; at 0.5x, it plays at half speed. This keeps the video and audio in sync.
